Hard Plumbing: is all the rough work. All the drain pipes, the hot and cold waterlines installed. Soft Plumbing: is installing faucet taps, installing a toilet to the floor, installing a kitchen sink, etc.
On this job I had to take out all the old cast-iron drain pipes under the concrete floor and the iron stack that went to the main floor toilet. The owner wanted a basement bachelor apartment constructed there after. I replaced all the cast-iron with ABS pipe to accommodate a kitchen drain pipe, a new toilet, shower, and vanity.
