To start this job I had to take out the old deck which was sagging and rotting.
They had a planter box made of pressure treated wood, but it overstayed its welcome. In this project the grade was sloping towards the house, so I brought in a couple loads of stone dust, compacted it, so the grade was slopping away from the house. I got to work using deck blocks for the 2 x 10 pressure treated frame work. Then 2 x 8’s for the body of the deck.
You will see in the photos the deck looks great with just a few flashy points, like the privacy panels incorporated into the deck. The owners said they received many compliments on the job.
